I am passionate about yoga since I was 16 years old. I started practicing because of my mom. She insisted a lot on attending the first class. After my first approach she never needed to do it again. After a year of practicing, I realized that every time I left yoga I had more internal energy and more desire to continue on that path. I also realized at that time that yoga was much more than strange postures.
At the Sananda Yoga Center (Vigo, Spain) I learned the main asanas, pranayama and some meditation techniques with Madhana Agulla (an experienced yoga teacher) for three years. At the age of 18, I moved to Salamanca, where I combined my yoga practice with my musical studies. There I learned with Sensei Mimoun Boulahfa new breathing techniques and to practice yoga as a group.
When I finished my bachelor, yoga had become more important to me, so I decided to spend a year doing the Yoga Teacher Training in my hometown. The teacher course was a beautiful experience, in which I learned many new things. When I finished my training after one year, I understood that giving yoga lessons and being able to help people calm their body and their mind is a privilege.
After my training, I gave yoga classes in different places: Cova dos Ratos Social Center, Studio Deva Divine, InnBetween and Landbouwbelang.
Additionally, I've been part of acroyoga meetings, asthanga workshops with Petri Raisanen and participated in different meditation retreats.
I believe that yoga is a very powerful tool which teaches one how to live in the best way and that is the reason why I love to spread it!
